The 2014 Cadillac ELR is being recalled for an issue with its electronic stability control (ESC) system. According to NHTSA, the software for the car's electronic stability control system may inhibit certain ESC functions, and fail to alert the driver than ESC is partially or fully disabled. This could potentially give the driver no warning that ESC may be off entirely, which could result in a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.

More than 30 parties have expressed an interest in buying the remnants of TVR, the sports car maker which crashed into administration over Christmas - and the factory could move to Asia. Administrator PKF (UK) LLP has spent the past month clarifying the assets of Blackpool Automotive Ltd, the company that ran the Blackpool factory, and it in fact holds several trump cards that could prevent the Russian owner switching production overseas. The sale advert in the Financial Times reveals that Blackpool Automotive controls the TVR trademark in Europe and the US, as well as all the intellectual property rights and tooling for the sports cars.
Is it a sickness to love weird Japanese sport compacts from the era of Pseudo Echo and Iran-Contra? Cars that nobody but a few scarily obsessed single-interest types would even recognize? It sure is, but not to worry--there's no better reason to hurl yourself headlong into the Lake of Fire that is Project Car Hell.
